Another photo, Another Story! Please feel free to play along!


I had just had to share this photo. Every time I see it, it cracks me up. This was taken on our honeymoon in Las Vegas. We were at Caesar's Palace walking through all the shops. We stopped into FAO Schwarz (the toy store) to look around. When we were walking around Dustin see these muppets. They are fireman and police muppets. The guys at the station would watch them on You Tube.

I had never even seen of heard of them. He decides to put them on his hands and do one of the skits he had seen. Basically what I got out of the skit was the fireman muppets make fun of the police muppets and vice versa. I was laughing so hard and everyone around us was staring at him. I get embarrassed really easy but I couldn't help but just laugh at him. He was talking in these weird voices and moving the muppets around with his hands. I so wish I had had a video camera with me. It would have been priceless. Instead I only got a picture.

I just think Dustin looks so goofy in this picture and it really was funny! It is not like him to do something like that in the middle of the store. I will have to see if I can find a video on You Tube to post.

Motivation Update

Okay, so I know I just posted about motivation and watching what I was eating and everything is going good so far.

Well, I was just in the break room eating my yummy Lean Cuisine for lunch when one of my co-workers brings in a bag of chocolate chip cookies from Paradise Bakery. My mouth started watering on the spot. Oh how I want to eat one of those delicious cookies! I can't. I keep telling myself I can't.

This is not good. My motivation is slowly dwindling away.

Motivation

I am on a diet. Maybe I wouldn't call it a diet, I am really watching what I eat and consuming less calories. I hate the word diet. I don't like healthy things, never have. I have been told stories of when I was a baby and I would spit out any kind of baby food that was a fruit or vegetable but I sure would scarf down the peach cobbler! That pretty much sums up my life. There just aren't many fruits and vegetables that I like. If I am hungry the last thing I want is a fruit or vegetable. It just isn't satisfying.

I have been watching Biggest Loser this season and it has really motivated me. I HATE working out. Period. Recently I have started jogging in place in my living room, doing lunges, crunches, push-ups, etc. all while I am watching TV. I got the idea from Biggest Loser. They were showing you exercises you can do at home. It really hasn't been that bad. It might not be as great as going to the gym but at least it is something.

Today I am going to buy this.


That's right. A scale. The one I have does not work. I keep telling myself that I am brave for starting a diet right before my birthday. Who can resist birthday cake? Definitely not me! I am deathly afraid to get on the thing because I haven't weighed myself since I went to the doctor back in July and I told the nurse not tell me my weight. Ha!

I am always looking for recipes for the junk food I love but healthier! Weight Watchers is a great place to get healthy recipes. I found this yummy recipe for Pepperoni Pizza Potato Skins.


They look so good! There are lots of other yummy healthy recipes. I just hope I can keep up my motivation. Sorry for the boring blog but there just isn't much going on this week to blog about. I do have a fun weekend planned and will be sure to take lots of pictures!

♥ What about pets? 2 crazy dogs.....Jax & Maribel. They are both Boxers.

♥ Did you go to the same school? No, we didn't live in the same town

♥ Are you from the same home town? No, our home towns are about an hour a part

♥ Who is the smartest? I think I might have to say Dustin on this one. I think I learn something new from him just about everyday.

♥ Who is more sensitive? Me, definitely me!

♥ Where do you eat out most as a couple? We eat at lots of places....our favorite is Mexican.

♥ Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple? Las Vegas

♥ Who has the craziest exes? Hmmmm...... neither of us.

♥ Who has the worst temper? I don't know, we both can be pretty hot headed sometimes but if I had to choose I would say Dustin

♥ Who does the cooking? Dustin and I help clean up the kitchen

♥ Who is more social? We are both are pretty quiet but I would say he is more social.

♥ Who is the neat-freak? Me! I am constantly picking up after Dustin.

♥ Who is more stubborn? We're both stubborn but I think he is more stubborn than me.

♥ Who hogs the bed? Jax.....we have a queen size bed and Jax sleeps with us. I made the mistake of letting him do that when he was a puppy and now there is no way he would sleep anywhere else.

♥ Who wakes up earlier? Most days me but on the days Dustin is on shift he does.

♥ Where was your first date? Texas Roadhouse

♥ Who has the bigger family? If you are talking immediate family he does but I have more relatives than he does.

♥ Do you get flowers often? Nope. I have only gotten flowers once in the 5 years we have been together.

♥ How do you spend the holidays? We go back and forth between both of our families. If Dustin isn't on shift we usually spend Christmas Eve with his family and Christmas Day with my family.

♥ Who is more jealous? I very rarely get jealous and he never does.

♥ How long did it take to get serious? I would say 5 or 6 months. I was a little reluctant at first but he finally won me over!

♥ Who eats more? Probably me! I can't believe I am admitting that. Dustin doesn't eat much for being a guy and he hates anything sweet. No lie, he doesn't like most candy and he would rather eat fruit. I am totally opposite.

♥ Who does/did the laundry? I do the laundry. Occasionally he will do a load.

♥ Who’s better with the computer? Me

♥ Who drives when you are together? Toss up......I would say 50/50. I drive in traffic everyday and Dustin irritates me when he drives. It depends on where we are going.

So Over It

I am so over the Bachelor. This show is so completely ridiculous and I can't believe ABC still airs the show. I have not been an avid watcher of this show in years past and in fact, I didn't even watch the beginning of this season's Bachelor. The girls always annoy me with all their drama.

Last nights final episode and the After the Rose Ceremony was so totally and unbelievably scripted. It was totally fake. Not to mention that Jason had the nerve to break up with Melissa on national television. So disgusting! I feel so completely bad for Melissa. Yes, it is television and lets face it, most of the girls sign up to be on TV. They know how the show works and that there will probably be some public humiliation but that is no excuse for ABC or Jason to use Melissa like the did.

Don't get me started on Jason. They made him out to be some great guy who has been hurt so many times in the past. Blah Blah Blah....he has no excuse for what he did. If he wasn't sure at the time, why did he propose? Why not leave it at, I love you but lets see where this goes first? I can't believe Molly even considered taking him back.

I found this website and you have to check it out. It gives a lot of inside information on the show and the events leading up to last night's episode. I just can't believe ABC does this. Be sure to read the e-mail at the bottom of the article. It just goes to show that this show is totally scripted and I will never watch this show again. I can't say that I am surprised because honestly who really thought it was totally real?

Not Me Monday

1. I did not stay out until 1:00 on Saturday night. I never do that anymore, not me!

2. I did not skip church on Sunday morning because I was too tired from the night before, not me!

3. I did not start my diet and then eat pizza with my husband last night, no not me!

4. I did not say I was going to work out and then proceed not to, no not me. I always do what I say I am going to!

5. I did not get so scared on Friday night that I called my dad to come stay with me, no not me!

6. I did not go with my mom this weekend to pick out my birthday gifts! I would never tell someone what to get me for my birthday, no not me!

7. I did not eat cereal for dinner when Dustin was at work because he wasn't there to cook for me, I would never do that!

Weekend Festivities!

This weekend has flown by. It started off a little rough. See Saturday's post. Saturday was really busy. I got up and went to get my hair done. I hadn't had it done in almost 4 months. That is a long time for me. I chopped all my hair off. My hair was probably the longest it has ever been in my entire life and I decided to chop it off. I couldn't stand it anymore. I have the type of hair that was not meant to be long. It is so stringy and strait and it wouldn't do anything but hang on my head.

I think I ended up cutting about 4 to 5 inches off.

Getting my hair done took up a good portion of the day and Saturday night we had a Bachelor/Bachelorette Party to go to. Our friends Jeremy and Serenda are getting married next weekend. We all met up at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Ft. Worth. The guys had a room and so did the girls. We played games and then Serenda opened her gifts. She got lots of cute lingerie.
After that we headed to Pete's Piano Bar. We didn't have a reservation because we had so many people but it was still fun. It was freezing outside but it was so hot inside Pete's. Everyone was sweating. Here are a few pictures from the night.

It was a super fun night but I am exhausted today. I hardly stay up that late anymore. I am old! (Ha!). Today I went with my mom to Old Navy and I got some super cute stuff! I got this dress in navy blue and coral. I can't wait for warmer weather.

Old Navy has a bunch of cute clothes. I was kind of turned off of them for awhile because I could never find anything I liked.

Now, I am going to enjoy the rest of my Sunday. I am going to take the dogs for a walk, give them a bath, finish the laundry and work out. Yes, you read that right I am going to work out. This girl has got to lose some weight!
