It's Monday Already?

Is it Monday already? Whew! This was a busy weekend. It flew by. Friday night I went to eat with my family. My sister came home for the weekend and I enjoyed getting to see her. Then Dustin and I came home and worked on a project that I had been meaning to do. We have a huge wall in our living room and for the longest time I couldn't decide on what to do with it. I finally decided to do a collage of pictures. I have been collecting frames and deciding on what pictures I wanted to frame. Dustin helped me hang all the pictures and I think it turned out great! Dustin was not to thrilled as he says my projects always require a lot of work on his end. That is true but my wall still looks great!

Saturday I spent all morning cleaning my house and I spent the afternoon baking. My whole family came over to my house to celebrate my dad and grandpa's birthdays. I made the Strawberry Pretzel Dessert from Kelly's Recipe Blog. It was really yummy but very time consuming to make. I can't believe it actually turned out okay and I had no help from Dustin. Ha! You all know that I am disaster in the kitchen.

Today I went to church with my family and then came home to relax. It almost seems as if the weekend didn't even come. At least I have a short week at work this week. Dustin, me and the dogs are headed to South Texas to spend some time on my grandparent's ranch and go to South Padre Island. I am looking forward to the trip!

Today is my dad's birthday! Happy Birthday to the best Dad in the world!

Fabulous Friday & A Giveaway!

So I was reading Jordan's blog and she posted about Fabulous Friday! Go here if you want to play along.

Today's Fabulous Friday post is about your favorite summer TV shows. You all know how much I love TV because I am always doing a post about some TV show. Summer TV is almost as good as regular season TV.

My all time favorite summer TV show is Army Wives. I love it!

It premiers Sunday June 7 on Lifetime. I can't wait!

I also love Tori & Dean Home Sweet Hollywood. I watched the first season last summer and I was hooked. I was so glad when it started back up again.

The season premier was this past Tuesday. You can catch it every Tuesday on the Oxygen channel.

I still love Jon & Kate Plus 8 even though things are not going so good for them. I heard on the radio this morning that Jon was caught again at some bar with two women. I really think it is over for them.

You can watch Season 5 on Monday nights on TLC. FYI...tonight there is a 30 minute special on Jon & Kate on the E! channel.

The Little Couple looks so cute. I already missed the first episode which aired May 26. That's okay because I know I can catch it again on TLC.

A Dog and A Pillow

I have the funniest story (well funny to me) to share with you. It may be gross and TMI but it is hilarious! My husband may not appreciate me sharing it because it happened to him but I am going to share it anyways.

Last night Dustin woke up and smelt a horrible smell. He almost started gagging because the smell was so bad. He rolled over and his hand felt something wet on his pillow. He then smelt his hand and it smelled like dog poo. Then he saw Jax's butt on his pillow. He immediately got up and went into the bathroom to discover that Jax had sharted (my husbands words) on his pillow during the night. You are probably either laughing or very disgusted at this point.

Jax sleeps in bed with us. He sleeps with us because I let him sleep with us when he was a puppy and now you can't get him off the bed for anything. He usually always sleeps at the foot of the bed and doesn't bother us. Last night Maribel had gotten up on the bed and we didn't know it. I guess Jax felt like he didn't have enough room so he crawled up in between Dustin and I and was laying near our heads.

I slept through all of this. I didn't wake up to discover any of this. I must have been sleepin hard! I saw the pillow in the bathroom this morning without the pillow case but then dismissed it. Dustin is working today so he was gone before I got up. When I talked to him this morning he told me the whole story and I was crying because I was laughing so hard. I was like "poor Jax" but Dustin was like "not poor Jax, poor me"?!?! HaHaHaHa!!!

Jax is 3 years old and has not had an accident since he was a puppy. I guess he was sleepin hard too and didn't realize he needed to go outside. I don't think I will ever let Dustin live this down.

Wordful Wednesday

On Memorial Day the dogs and I went up to the station to visit Dustin at work. Since it was a holiday and there are only 2 other guys at the station I was able to bring the dogs up to visit. It was so funny to watch them because they inspected every square inch of the station.

What Do You Think?

So all you Jon & Kate Plus 8 fans, what did you think of the season premiere last night?

I personally am a little sad. It seems that Jon and Kate are done with each other. Part of me thinks that it is just the show making us think that so we will tune in for the rest of the season and part of me thinks it is probably true. If you look at lots of other couples and families that do reality shows they end up not staying together. A few examples I think of are Nick & Jessica, The Hulk Hogan Family, Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro and Shanna Moakler and Travis Barker. Granted these people were celebrities before they did reality TV.

It seems to me that Kate really enjoys the show and her job and Jon hates it. He wants his privacy back and to go back to work. I think he is tired of being stuck at home all the time while Kate is flying all over the country promoting her books and the show. It seems to me that the way to solve the problem might be to give up the show. What do you think?

I think they are a cute family and I really hope they can work things out. I am excited to watch the rest of the season to see what happens. Hopefully the media will leave them alone.

I sure wish that the long weekend wasn't over with but it is back to work for me. Ugh! Have a good day everyone!

A Much Needed Update

Happy Memorial Day! Sorry I have been MIA but I have been really busy and for the most part not doing much that is blog worthy. I am so glad for the 3 day weekend! It has been a nice relaxing weekend.

Friday kicked off the long weekend and I got off work early. I came home and cleaned up around the house. Dustin was working so I didn't do much. I went to bed early.

Saturday Dustin and I met with our photographer to go over some things on our wedding album. I know, I know we have been married almost a year and we still don't have our wedding album. It is going to be really nice once it is finished but it sure is taking a long time. Then we grabbed lunch and went to Hobby Lobby. I was shocked that Dustin agreed to go with me while we were out. He HATES that store. I guess I kind of don't blame him and I do tend to take a long time when I am in there. I tried to make this trip as painless as possible for him.

Then our good friends Kelsie and Drew called and asked if we wanted to go to the Rough Riders baseball game. We had never been so we agreed to go. The Rough Riders are a minor league baseball team. We had a good time except that it started raining right before the game. Luckily we were able to stand under a covered patio until it moved past. After we dried off our seats the game was ready to start.

We made it to the 4th inning before it started pouring down rain. It was late by that point anyways so we headed home. We had a good time at the game!

Yesterday Dustin and I were bums. We did go eat lunch with my family and then ran to buy him some new tennis shoes for work. All the guys at the department got shorts to wear during the summer and they can only wear black tennis shoes. Ever since Dustin told me this I have been cracking up because I picture them all looking like this:

A bicycle cop just without the helmets. I am going up to the station today and I am hoping that they are wearing their new shorts. I have got to see this.

Today I am doing some laundry and probably going to go eat lunch at my parent's house. Later me and the dogs are going to go see Dustin at work. I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day!

This past weekend while Dustin and I were out of town, Dustin's sister Heather stayed at our house and took care of Jax and Maribel. Heather has a 10 month old little girl Cassandra. She is a doll! Jax and Maribel have been around Cassandra before but not since she has started crawling. Let me just tell you that they were facinated with her. It was so cute to watch them interact.

Maribel was very protective of Cassandra and followed her around everywhere. They even swapped toys a few times. They would each give her big kisses that would almost knock her over and Cassandra would just laugh and laugh. Jax and Maribel really enjoyed having her stay. Dustin and I got a little glimpse into our future when we have kids. We know that Jax and Maribel will do great!

Jax really wanted some of Cassandra's rice cereal. He wanted it so bad that he was drooling. He didn't realize that it really is yucky.

I can't wait for Cassandra to start walking!

P.S. ~ Who will win American Idol tonight??? I voted for the first time ever last night. I have never voted for any live television show before. Of course I voted for Kris!
