Typical Conversation

Me: The wedding on Saturday night is outside and it is going to be cold.

Dustin: I am not wearing my suit.

Me: Yes you are

Dustin: I am wearing jeans and my boots. It is going to be cold.

Me: You are not wearing jeans to a wedding.

Dustin: Watch me

Me: You aren't going with me if you wear jeans

Dustin: Good then I don't have to go

My husband drives me CrAzY! Sometimes I want to scream! Does anyone else have wardrobe issues with their husbands? Dustin is a fireman so he never has to dress up for work. He hates wearing anything other jeans and boots. Ugh! It gives me a headache sometimes. I just don't think it is appropriate to wear jeans to a wedding. Does anyone else feel this way?

We went shopping today and we compromised. He got a new pair of khaki pants and a button down shirt. I think I can live with that.

Reality TV & Birthday Wishes!

Did anyone watch American Idol this week? This is my favorite part of the show....the top 12 or should I say top 13! At first I was a little disappointed in how they picked the top 12 because I didn't think it was fair but after watching all the performances on Tuesday night all of the top 13 contestants are really good! I was nervous to watch last night's elimination. I think Jorge and Jasmine were probably the 2 contestants I would have sent home. What about you?

These are my favorite contestants who I hope make it to the top!

I really like Danny. I think he is one of the best on the show. I love his voice.

Matt is another favorite of mine. I love his sound and I love the piano.

I have a crush on Michael. He is just so cute and so sweet. I love how he always says yes mam and no mam. It must be a southern thing.

I also watched Dancing with the Stars for the first time on Monday night. I can't believe I am becoming such a reality TV junkie! I like a lot of the stars on the show so I couldn't help but tune in. My favorite on the show is Ty Murray.

Poor thing, he can't dance worth a flip but he sure was cute out there on the dance floor!

I have to give a shout out to one of my best friends on her birthday! Happy Birthday Kelsie!

Kelsie and I have known each other since middle school. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding and I was a bridesmaid in hers. We have been friends for a long time and boy do we have some memories! If it wasn't for Kels I might not be married to Dustin. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Wednesday Bits of Randomness

Well, the Spring Fling was fun and they were giving away lots of cute stuff but of course I didn't win. I am not surprised. I never win anything. I still might win something from the zillion SITS bloggers' giveaways but I am not holding my breath. The one that I would most like to win is the $100 gift card to Target. I love Target! I also entered to win this really cute Etsy bag but so did tons of other people.

Sigh, if only I could be one of those lucky people.

It is cold and rainy here today. I think the high is only in the 30's. Yuck! That is cold for us here in Texas! It is a big change from yesterday which was a high near 80. It is spring break, it isn't supposed to be cold! I was so hoping for warm weather this weekend but it doesn't look like that is going to happen.

I am ready for the weekend already! Friday is my birthday, I am off work, my sister is coming home for spring break, my family is all going out to eat for my birthday and I get to eat birthday cake! We have a wedding on Saturday night and I am hoping to get started on our landscaping project. We want to spruce up our landscaping in the front yard. I know nothing about plants and flowers so this should be interesting. I think I have some research to do. Does anyone have any ideas?

Not Me! Monday

~ I did not sleep in until 10:30am this weekend. Not me! I would never waste the day away sleeping!

~ I did not get asked if I was in high school this weekend by the lady at the nail salon. No, not me! I swear I look older than a high school student!

~ I did not watch 6 hours of Beverly Hills 90210 on SoapNet that was on my DVR yesterday. Not me! I am not a couch potato!

~ I did not turn my computer on at work this morning and immediately start checking all my favorite blogs! No, not me!

One Down, Three To Go

Wedding season is here. Last night was Jeremy & Serenda's wedding. Jeremy is a good friend of Dustin's and he was also a groomsmen in our wedding. Jeremy & Serenda have basically been together since 5th grade. We learned last night that they broke up once for a short while. They are just one of those couples that you know are meant to be together. You see it and feel it every time you are around them. Their love for one another is truly amazing.

It was a beautiful wedding and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. They got married outside in the garden and then we moved in doors for the reception. I forgot my camera during the ceremony so I didn't get any pictures. I hate when I do that. I had an aisle seat so it was the perfect opportunity for pictures. Darn!

We had a blast! We have another wedding next weekend. I really do love weddings. I love everything about them. They are so fun!

Calling All Animal Lovers

I just visited this blog and it broke my heart. I am a huge animal lover. I am constantly telling Dustin I wish there was some way I could save all the sick and helpless animals in the world. As you know we have 2 dogs who we spoil rotten. If I could, I would have tons more but dogs require lots of love, attention and care. Not to mention money.

Please visit the blog above. This little gal named Lil' Bit needs a loving home. She has spent the last 2 years of her life in an animal shelter in New York. Nothing breaks my heart more than knowing she has been waiting for 2 years to find a loving home. I am sure she gets great care in the shelter but she needs a permanent home. I read about Lil' Bit and thought the least I could do was post about this on my blog in hopes that any readers I have will do the same. Hopefully some where it will reach someone who can offer her a home. I have posted a picture of her below.

We rescued our female Boxer about 6 months ago and it felt so great knowing we were giving her a good loving home. I think rescuing animal is the only way to go. There are just so many out there that need good homes. I could go on and on but I will spare you. So please pass this information along if you are as great an animal lover as me!
