Happy Friday the 13th!

Yea! Friday is upon us again! This week kind of went by fast. Did anyone watch the CMA's this week? I look forward to it every year. I like Taylor Swift but man I think she won every single award. I love award shows in general because I love seeing what everyone wears. I think all the ladies looked fabulous! My husband couldn't take his eyes off Carrie Underwood. I think I looked over and saw drool coming out of his mouth at one point. Ha! Okay not really, but even I will admit she is easy on the eyes. I think she is beautiful!

I am having the hardest time finding a Christmas card that I like. I have searched dozens of websites but can't seem to find anything. I did find one that I liked but it is out of my budget. Any suggestions as to where I can find cute Christmas cards?

I am so ready for Thanksgiving. I am mostly ready to have a few days off work. All the good food will be nice too. I have family coming in town and I am excited. It just needs to hurry up and get here!

We don't have much going on this weekend. I think we are hanging out with some friends tonight and then I have a hair appointment on Saturday morning. I love getting my hair done. It always looks so much better after.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

I'm Ashamed!

I am so ashamed to admit that I cried during the Keeping Up With the Kardashian's Wedding Special. How pathetic am I? I totally think that family is obnoxious but I can't help but watch their show. I just can't help but laugh at them. But when Bruce got up and started talking about the girl's father and how he was looking down on them smiling I lost it. I actually cried. Still can't believe Khloe got married after only knowing Lamar Odom for a month but hey who knows maybe it will last.

In other TV news I am so glad Tracy got voted off Biggest Loser. I am curious to see who is going to win this season. I am also loving Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters this season. So good!

I wish I had more exciting news to blog about but I think I am in a rut right now. Nothing interesting is going on. Thank goodness for the excitement of the holidays coming up!

Fun Weekend!

Why oh why do the weekends go by so fast? I really really do not want to go to work tomorrow. At least I had a pretty good weekend! Friday I got to leave work a little early and I came home and relaxed and caught up on the DVR. I think I was asleep by 9:30. It was a great start to the weekend.

Saturday I was up bright and early to go wedding dress shopping with my sister. I think she found the dress! It is really pretty and I think she made a good choice. Then I went shopping and found some cute things at Dillard's.

Also on Saturday our nephews came over to visit. We kept them overnight. I couldn't believe that Dustin made them pick up dog poo and mow the yard while they were here. Some uncle huh? They didn't enjoy picking up the poo but for some odd reason they loved mowing. I bet that will change when they get a little older. They are 8 and 5. They had a blast playing with the dogs and then we all went to dinner at my parent's house.

This morning I was up bright and early again to go to a bridal show in Dallas. I went with my mom, sister, one of my best friend's Jennifer and her mom. Jennifer is getting married December 2010. It didn't take us long to go through all the booths and then we waited around for the fashion show. There were some very interesting bridal gowns in that fashion show. I saw a silver/metallic bridal gown and a turquoise/blue gown. If you ask me they were hideous but I guess colored gowns are becoming more of a trend. I didn't take any pictures this weekend. I need to get better at taking pictures. I used to do such a good job at taking pictures.
I am so excited for Thanksgiving and I can't believe it is 3 weeks away. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays...second to Christmas of course. I can't wait to put up all my Christmas decorations!

Well, I am off to go watch football. GO COWBOYS!! I am really hoping for a win against the Eagles.

What A Week

I have been super busy this week but it went by fast though! I am so glad it's Friday! I have a pretty busy weekend ahead too. There is just so much going on right now. I came home from work last night and my hubby tried out a new recipe from The Pioneer Woman's Cookbook.

He made Meatloaf. I know some people may be grossed out by meatloaf but I love it. I have always loved it. Hubby isn't too fond of it but he knew I had been wanting to try her recipe. Her recipes are quite time consuming though. I would only have time to try them out on the weekends. It took him quite a while to do all the preparing yesterday afternoon. I have to say he did a fabulous job! You should definitely pick up a copy of her cookbook!

Yesterday I finally caught up with everyone else and joined Netflix. I had been thinking about it for some time and I finally did it. During the fall and spring I watch so many TV shows that I don't really watch a lot of movies. I am most excited about getting Season 1 of Friday Night Lights. I used to watch this show but I hadn't been keeping up with it the past few seasons. I figured I would start at the beginning.

For those of you that heard about the shooting at Ft. Hood Army Base in Texas yesterday please keep those families in your prayers. It is so very sad and I don't understand why there are such crazy people on this earth.

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday and a great weekend!

Tired

I have been so tired lately and nothing exciting has been going on which means I have nothing to blog about. Work has been crazy and I am still trying to catch up. I love gaining an extra hour of sleep but I sure do hate coming home in the dark. It is completely dark outside by the time I pull in the driveway from work. I think with it being dark so early makes me even more tired. Sometimes I wish I could crawl right into bed as soon as I get home from work.

Tonight I came home and walked the dogs like usual. Dustin is at work so I was walking them by myself. They got in a fight with a dog through the fence. I swear those dang dogs. Jax was trying to sniff the dog under the fence and this Miss Maribel was her usual jealous self and started picking a fight with Jax. Jax was amped up and then started going after the dog through the fence. Luckily I was able to pull him away. I think I need Cesar Milan, The Dog Whisperer, to come to my house.

Random Thought: I am excited because Carrie Underwood's new CD came out today! I heart Carrie Underwood! Not only is she beautiful but she can sing.

I will be purchasing this album on iTunes very soon!

Halloween Weekend

Did everyone have a fabulous Halloween? Mine was nothing special. I woke up bright and early Saturday morning and headed to Canton with my mom and sister. I got some really cute Christmas decor. I can't wait to decorate my house for Christmas. You will have to wait and see pictures though. Once I get my house all decorated I will post tons of pictures.

I was pretty worn out by the time I got home Saturday afternoon. I relaxed and watched some football. Dustin was at work and I was in bed by 9:00. I know I am totally pathetic. I was so tired. I am glad I went to bed early because Jax and Maribel did not get the memo that it was fall back and that you get an extra hour of sleep. They had me up at 7 am. Those dang dogs! Ha!

Today was a pretty fun day. We went to eat lunch with my sister and her fiance Clark. Then later we headed out to take Christmas pictures for our Christmas cards. The weather was just beautiful except that it was kind of windy outside. It was not easy getting the dogs to pose for a picture. They had new territory to explore. They were more interested in sniffing around than posing for a picture. We got a few good ones though. I have a few Christmas cards picked out but I haven't decided on which one yet. I will give you a sneak peek at one of the pictures we took. It isn't the one we will use for our Christmas Card though. You will have to wait until closer to Christmas to see the others.

See, the dogs just weren't having it. This was one of the first pictures we took too.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
