I Gave In

Because so many of you have blogged about Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, I gave in and bought it. It is on back order so it will probably be 3 weeks before they even ship it to me. I really hope it works because nothing else I seem to do does. Maybe that is because I eat Mexican food at least twice a week and I am always needing something sweet!

I love Biggest Loser and I see the way Jillian pushes her team so this has got to work for me. I really really hope Tara wins Biggest Loser! We will find out Tuesday night! Finally!

I have been so exhausted lately and then this morning my father in law had to go back into the hospital. He has a lot of heart problems. Everything is going to be okay but he has been in out of the hospital a lot over the past 2 years. Please pray that he will get better.

Wordful Wednesday

It's Wednesday and yes you know what that means....Wordful Wednesday!




One of Dustin's good friends that he grew up with is the lead singer for The Josh Weathers Band and yep you guessed it, his friend's name is Josh Weathers. They are a local band in the Ft. Worth area and are always playing at the local hot spots. They describe themselves as southern country meets soul.

I love going and listening to them play. If you are ever in the Ft. Worth area I highly recommend you check them out. If you want to listen to their current hits go here.

This picture was taken 2 years ago at one of Josh's shows at a local bar. It just reminds me of the good time we always have at their shows. The music just makes you want to get up and dance. Josh is so incredibly talented. We had the privelage of him singing at our wedding reception. He sang our favorite song of his...Feel the Rain. It was just him and his guitar and it was fabulous. Definitely a moment I will not forget.

We haven't been able to catch a show of his in quite a while because of Dustin's work schedule but we are definitely going to be attending several of his shows over the summer. Such good times!

Make My Day

I think I have mentioned before just how great my husband is but he really is the greatest. He thinks I am always casting him in a bad light here on my blog so I thought I would say something sweet about him for the record.

I have been really stressed out lately and really tired and well you know how that goes. You sometimes take it out on other people especially the ones you love. We were having a discussion this morning and it instantly put both of us in a bad mood. I e-mailed my husband when I got to work this morning because sometimes it is easier for me to write my feelings out rather than try to talk about them.

My husband, being the great guy that he is, e-mailed me back and said "I love you and everything will be ok, I promise". That just made my day! Something so simple put a huge smile on my face.

Sometimes in the stresses of life we forget about the small things that make people happy. So if you need something to write about, post about something that you did or what someone did for you that made your day. We could all use a little happiness to add to our day. Don't forget to leave me a comment letting me know so I can read your post.

Not Me! Monday is Back!

~I did not go 2 weeks without vacuuming my carpet. I would never do that. Not me!

~I did not eat cereal for dinner 3 times last week. No, not me!

~I did not tell my husband he was the most retardedest (is that a word?) person I knew because he proceeded to back into a parking space 3 times before finally making it into the parking spot only to then move to a different parking spot because he realized the car next to him was too close. I would never talk to my husband that way! Not me!

~I did not lecture my husband on needing to watch our spending and then proceed to buy a shirt and a dress online last week. Not me! ~ This one's for you Dustin!

~I did not go to bed by 10:00 on Friday and Saturday night this past weekend. I am way more fun that!

Happy Monday! And for those of you that have asked, so far I love the Dyson All Floors. I just got it yesterday but we used it to clean and vacuum all the rooms in our house and it was great! It sucked up A LOT of dirt and it is very light weight. I totally recommend it.

Busy Weekend

This weekend has flew by. It was a fun weekend even though it was pouring down rain for most of it. Friday night Dustin was working so I just came home from work and caught up on laundry and cleaning up the house.

Saturday we went to the Ft. Worth Zoo with our good friends Kelsie and Drew. I wanted to skip out and stay home because it looked like rain was coming our way Saturday morning. Dustin and Kelsie were determined to go and we did. We got lucky because it didn't start pouring down rain until after we left the zoo. I am not a big zoo person but I did have a good time. Here are a few pics.

The elephants were my favorite. It was fun to watch them. They kept picking up huge branches with their trunks and then sticking them in their mouths. Then later they were pushing around these huge balls with their trunks. It was fun to watch them play.

I think this picture is really cool. Dustin took of the gorilla that came right up to the glass and was looking at everybody. Right before we got there I guess some people had made him mad because he walked up the glass and banged on it and walked away. It scared the people standing on the other side of the glass. I think they are so funny to watch.

Today we finally went and bought a new vacuum. You may remember reading about our Kirby vacuum experience. We ended up getting a Dyson.

We didn't get the Dyson ball though. Just the Dyson All Floors. We have been shopping around and Target had the best price. You should have seen all the dirt we sucked up just from our living room. Disgusting! Having 2 dogs doesn't help either.

I am off to finish cleaning up the house. Have a good rest of the weekend!

Today = A Great Day

Why is today a great day you ask? Because, it is Friday and I get to leave work early! Woohoo!! So ready for the weekend!

We are going to the Zoo tomorrow with our good friends Kelsie and Drew. It should be fun as long as it doesn't rain. I am praying we don't catch swine flu. Yikes!
