What Speed Limit Officer??

You may remember this post called Double White Lines. Well, we got pulled over again the other day in Highland Park (Steph was driving of course) and I bet you can guess what happened??? Yep, she was going 45 in a 30 and she was let off the hook again. I'll tell ya that fire sticker sure does work miracles. The nice policeman even told us that her husband saved her. If only I could have such luck!

So excited today is Friday! Oh how I love the weekends! We are going to dinner with friends tonight and tomorrow is our niece Cassandra's 1st Birthday! I will have lots of cute pictures to share.

We're Famous!

Okay, not really..... but Dustin and I are the featured couple on Newlyweds!

I was contacted a while back to do an interview on being a newlywed couple. Just how long do you have to be married anyways to not be considered a newlywed?? Just thought I would ask but we are definitely still newlyweds.
3 weeks until our 1 year anniversary!

Be sure to hop on over and check us out!

Mutt Monday!

Jordan over at Two Dogs, A Girl and A Husband's Grace is the face behind Mutt Monday. You can head over to her blog if you want to play along.

This past weekend was a super busy weekend and The Wynn family is exhausted. Jax and Maribel had such a great time that they have done nothing but sleep the past 24 hours.

Jax didn't know quite what to do with some people in his house.

So he decided to do a little of this.

So Maribel thought she would join in too.

Happy Monday Friends!

Happy 4th of July (A Day Late)

Happy 4th of July! I hope your day was as good as mine! I had a very busy day yesterday and I am exhausted. Here is a little re-cap with pictures! I finally have some pictures to share!

Saturday morning Dustin and I went to eat breakfast at a cafe called Old West. It was so yummy! I had french toast....my favorite! Then we came home and Dustin and mowed the yard and I cleaned up a little around the house. I finally got our new bed all put together and I thought I would share a picture of the new bedding. Our room is actually clean for once so I think it is safe to post a picture!

About 1:00 my sister and Clark came over and we started preparing all the food and getting everything set up.

My sister and I working hard in the kitchen.

Everyone came over around 4:30 and we fired up the grill. We had so much food. I forgot to take a picture of all the food. We had hamburgers, brawts, baked beans, homemade mac and cheese, buffalo chicken wing dip, chips, cheese and crackers, strawberries and so much more. I was stuffed and ate way too much. For dessert we had homemade ice cream!

Jennifer, Clay, Dustin and my grandpa chowing down!

My dad working hard in the kitchen!

Mom, Dad, Clark, Kent and Nadalee...not sure why the picture is so fuzzy must be my fantastic photography skills!

Relaxing after a long day!

Jennifer, Nadalee and I....please excuse the way we look...it had been a long day.

After we cleaned up the kitchen and everybody left, Dustin and I headed out with Jennifer and Clay and Clark and Nadalee to buy some fire works. We headed out to the country to Clay's friend's house and shot our fireworks. Dustin, Clay and Clark actually shot the fire works, us girls sat a good distance away and watched.

Nadalee watching the fire works. Not sure why she is making that awful face. Ha!

Clark messing around with a sparkler.

We had such a fun and wonderful day. I love the 4th of July. The Wynn family hopes that you all had a wonderful and safe holiday!

I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself

I am blogging from home today! So glad to have a day off work although I don't know quite what to do. I don't even know what is on TV on week day mornings. I found that I am not missing much.

I slept in, got up and ate some cereal and then came straight to the computer. Gotta catch up on all my blog reading....it's important! Today I will be cleaning the house and going to the grocery store. I have to get ready for the cook out at our house tomorrow. So excited!

Last night Dustin and I went with my sister Nadalee and her boyfriend Clark to eat dinner at On The Border and go see the Hangover. I had a yummy strawberry margarita at OTB and the movie was hilarious! Dirty but hilarious none the less. It was one of those laugh out loud the entire movie type of movie! The strangest thing happened though, this man kept wandering into the theatre and he had a ladies straw gardening hat on and he was carrying a purse. He was being totally obnoxious and he was trying to talk like a woman. He wasn't dressed like a woman though except for the hat and purse. He kept switching seats and he would stand right in front of people and watch the movie. At one point he even got out his cell phone and started talking on it....not quietly either. He would laugh and comment on everything throughout the movie.

At first people were laughing at him but then eventually it just got really annoying and people weren't able to enjoy the movie. He finally left but he came back in towards the end of the movie but this time he was quiet. When the movie was over and we were leaving we saw him go into another theatre. I can't believe the movie people didn't see him wandering from theatre to theatre. Needless to say it was the strangest thing I had seen in a long time.

Have a fabulous Friday and a Happy 4th of July! I am going to try my best to make this a productive day but sitting around and relaxing sounds pretty good right now!

4th of July Favorites

I can't believe today is already July 1. Boy does time fly. Since it is almost July 4th I thought I would share with you a few of my favorite things about 4th of July.

First of all, I love the food.

I love grilling out. I love almost anything that you can put on the grill. Hamburgers and BBQ have to be my 2 favorites.

I am huge dessert person. I love it all! We are grilling out at our house this year and I still can't decide which dessert I am going to make. My family is coming over and a few of our friends. My mom is making homemade ice cream. Yum! Maybe you can help me choose.

I am thinking of making this Super Strawberry Shortcake.

It looks like heaven on earth.

This is what I am talking about....Peanut Butter S'Mores.

This one might top my list...Chocolate Chip Banana Cream Pie.

Which one do you think I should make? I am leaning towards the Chocolate Chip Banana Cream Pie but they all just look so good. I wish I could make them all but I don't have enough time.

I think these are cute idea for decoration and a snack. If I have time I might try to make them.

A few other ideas I have seen are a burger bar and ice cream sundae bar.

What I also love about the 4th are family and friends. I love getting together and cooking out, eating and talking. So fun!

Of course, it wouldn't be the 4th of July without fire works.

Every year our town puts on a big fire works show. We always used to go as a family growing up. I don't think I attended the show last year but we are planning on going this year.

What are your 4th of July favorites?
